The Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets is revising the Best Management Practice Rule. The Best Management Practice (BMP) Program provides technical assistance and financial assistance to Vermont farmers to support construction of on-farm improvements designed to abate water pollution risks from agricultural waste.
Public Comment
The public comment period will begin on July 17, 2024, and remain open until September 9, 2024. Following the closure of the public comment period on September 9, 2024, the Agency will respond to all comments at the time the rule revision is issued.
Comments may be submitted in writing or may be given at the public hearings listed below.

A public hearing was held in-person with a hybrid option through Microsoft Teams at 116 State Street, Montpelier, Vermont 05620 in the 2nd Floor Conference Room on August 29th, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No public comments were received during this hearing.
