Farm to school and early childhood is a comprehensive community development strategy that connects schools and early childhood programs with local farms, enhances educational and health outcomes, and engages whole communities. Healthy meals, improved child nutrition, new food, farm, and nutrition education opportunities, and a lifelong appreciation for food are some of the goals associated with farm to school and early childhood programming.
