To file a concern or complaint with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets, please review the below links to determine the program your concern should be registered with. When submitting a complaint or concern, please provide detailed information that will allow us to evaluate the information for follow-up. Please be as detailed as possible to provide a complete picture of your concerns and observations. For example, a complaint that is one sentence long with limited information does not provide enough information for follow-up. Do not report the same complaint multiple times.

Restaurant / Food & Lodging Program Sanitation Complaint
Link to the Vermont Department of Health - The Food and Lodging Program at the Vermont Department of Health works to protect health and prevent disease by promoting sanitation and food safety. To accomplish this, Health Department licenses and inspects over 6,000 places where food is prepared, served, processed or stored. The department also regulates lodging facilities, including hotels, bed & breakfasts, and children’s camps.
Meat & Poultry Concern or Complaint
Regarding a concern about the production or sale of meat and poultry products in the State of Vermont.
Environmental Resources Concern or Complaint
Regarding a concern about pesticide use, manure spreading, water quality, apiary, seed or other agriculture resource.
Weights & Measures Concern or Complaint
Regarding a concern related to scales and measuring devices utilized for consumer transactions.
Agricultural Products Concern or Complaint
Regarding a concern related to maple, apples, potatoes, strawberries, other fresh produce, shell eggs, or irradiated foods.
Animal Health Concern or Complaint
Regarding a concern about pet shops, livestock dealers and auctions, importation, escaped pigs (please report other escaped livestock to your town officials).
