Massachusetts Dairy Co-Packing Program Request for Proposals

The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC) seeks a contractor to offer technical assistance for dairy farmers located in Massachusetts considering working with a co-packer to develop a farm-branded value-added product line.

The contract will be with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets, host of the NE-DBIC. The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources is the partner organization and will be the primary point of contact for the contractor regarding the scope of work, farmer/processor contacts, and deliverables. Identifying Market Opportunities for Vermont Maple Syrup Producers - 2021

This report was prepared by Atlantic Corporation for the Vermont Agency of Food, Agriculture and Markets (VAAFM) under Vermont Specialty Crop Block Grant Program Grant #02200-SCBGP-16-01, entitled “Identifying market opportunities for maple syrup producers in Vermont.” The primary objectives of this project were the creation of a detailed final report and a data visualization tool to help the VAAFM, and Vermont maple syrup producers, value-added producers, and other maple syrup stakeholders identify and measure the size of market opportunities for Vermont maple syrup producers.

Dairy Packaging Innovation Grant RFA

The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC) announces the availability of funds through the Dairy Packaging Innovation Grant program, which will provide grants to projects that decrease environmental impacts of dairy product and supply chain packaging and increase marketability of dairy products. Grant funds are available to projects along the spectrum of research, development, and implementation and for projects at a variety of scales. Projects will be collaborative across sectors and include an educational or information sharing component.

Dairy processors, dairy producer associations and businesses/organizations in manufacturing, dairy supply chain, or institutions sectors that partner with dairy processors are invited to apply. Grants are available to applicants in all Northeast states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

2022 Vermont Specialty Crop Block Grant Program - Request For Applications

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets announces the availability of grant funds to enhance the competitiveness of Vermont specialty crops including fruits; vegetables; tree nuts; honey; hops; maple syrup; mushrooms; culinary herbs and spices; medicinal plants; nursery crops (including Christmas trees); and floriculture. Projects funded through this grant program must benefit more than one specialty crop business, individual, or organization.

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets announces the availability of grant funds to establish or strengthen producer associations and cooperatives that serve Vermont specialty crop businesses. Projects funded through this grant program must benefit more than one specialty crop business, individual, or organization.
