Georgia Mountain Maples Will Host the Annual First-Tapping Celebration - Governor Phil Scott will welcome USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue to Vermont for the first time on Friday to help celebrate the official kickoff of Vermont’s sweetest season.
The Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets (VAAFM) and the Working Lands Enterprise Board will host its annual legislative day Tuesday, February 12th, to showcase the small businesses that are dedicated to growing the economies, cultures, and communities of Vermont’s working landscape.
Beginning at 4pm in the State House cafeteria with Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (VAAFM) Secretary Anson Tebbetts, Secretary and various other officials and program partners will visit with students highlighting their local Farm to School Program, explain its importance and impact, and announce new grant recipients.
