Trevor Lowell is the state of Vermont’s new Farm to Institution Program Manager. Coming to Vermont by way of Montana, Trevor brings years of experience helping to build strong local food systems. Most recently, he worked as the sustainability director for the University of Montana’s dining department. There he helped connect local farmers and ranchers to institutional markets, oversaw a diverse campus agriculture program, and educated students on social and environmental issues affecting their food system. Prior to working at the University of Montana, Trevor worked in a variety of areas across the food and agriculture industry, from commercial kitchens to organic dairies. Born and raised in rural New Hampshire, he is excited to return to his New England roots to help Vermont grow its nationally recognized farm to school and farm to institution programs.
