Job Title: Vegetable Production Crew

Job Description: 

The vegetable production crew plays an essential role in growing great food for our community. This position encompasses the full cycle of seeding and planting, all the way through harvest, wash, pack, and distribution. Work closely with farm owners and experienced crew members to learn organic farming systems.  Participate in all aspects of food production including greenhouse seedling production, planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, trellising, harvesting, washing, packing, and delivering produce. Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together. Harvest and pack orders for 400+ CSA shares and local wholesale accounts. Assist in the farm kitchen making sauerkraut and other value-added products in the fall. Root 5 Farm will provide training, mentoring, and broad experience in operating a small, CSA-oriented farm.

Job Duration: Seasonal - Early April to Late November

Compensation: 40 hours (Full Time) - $17/hour
