UVM Organic Dairy Conference

The UVM Organic Dairy Conference will be held at the VTC campus in Randolph Ctr, VT.

10th Annual Vermont Organic Dairy Producers Conference on March 11, 2020. Speakers and topics include Dr. Sidney Bosworth, UVM and the state’s forage expert will share information on forage crop management and utilization, forage quality, and pasture and grazing management. Patrice Vincent from Belisle Solution Nutrition, Inc. will join us from Canada and talk about improving farm efficiency and profitability through optimizing on-farm forage production. Brad Heins from University of Minnesota will discuss research geared toward genetics, breeding, and raising youngstock on organic dairy farms. We will also hear from a local farmer panel sharing their experiences combating low milk prices through diversification. UVM’s Sensory Practice Leader Roy Desrochers will lead us through sensory exercises to learn more about the unique flavor profiles that our dairy products may offer. Cost is $25 per person.
