The Current Use Program recently issued a fact sheet, “Current Use: Enrolling Leased Land, Farm Buildings,” to explain the requirements when a lease is used to enroll farm buildings or fewer than 25 acres of agricultural land. The fact sheet covers such topics as the definition of a “valid lease” and what it must include, the definition of a “farmer,” and what is needed from the lessee.
