Maple Pudding Cake

  • 1 ½ c flour
  • ¾ c sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ c milk
  • ½ c chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
  • 1 ½ c Vermont Maple Syrup
  • ¾ c water
  • 2 tbsp butter

 

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk.

Add nuts and pour into greased 8x8x2 pan

Combine water, Vermont Maple syrup, and butter in sauce pan. Heat until butter melts. Pour warm sauce over cake batter. DO NOT STIR

Bake in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.

Cake should be dark gold in color (like crust of bread)

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream…. Or BOTH!
