Farm Show 2020 Around the Corner

By Dave Martin, Vermont Farm Show Board of Trustees

It’s time to start thinking about the 2020 Vermont Farm Show!  No, the leaves haven’t completely fallen, and the snow has yet to make an appearance, but there are some changes coming to the next show and Farm Show Trustees like to add to our wait list for vendors.

The dates to mark down are January 28, 2020 through January 30, 2020, at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, Vermont.  Opening day hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Closing day hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The big change will be in the Wednesday (January 29) hour.  On that day the Farm Show will open at 8:30 am but will close at 5:30 pm.

The Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets is planning to continue Consumer Night on Wednesday, but the Miller Building area with the Farm Show vendors will not be open after 5:30 on Wednesday.  We’ll be working out the logistics of parking and entry to Consumer Night in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion and keep all our guests updated.

As mentioned above, the Trustees would like to add to our vendor wait list – if you are interested in exhibiting at the 2020 Vermont Farm Show, please contact Jackie at crkdbrks@aol.com and include your company name and your website.  Vendors from the 2019 Show have first “dibs” on a space, but if there are any spaces available, they fill those spots with companies on our wait list.  We’re particularly interested in adding agricultural organizations and new types of agriculture, such as hemp.  Unfortunately, at this time we can’t accept any new vendors selling food due to our contract at Champlain Valley Expo (but we always refer you to Consumer Night).

We’re also looking for a Farm Show Manager, as Jackie Folsom is retiring after several years in that position.  If you are interested, please contact Jackie at the above email for a job description.

See you at the 2020 Vermont Farm Show!
