Agroforestry Benefits & How to Design For Your Context

Date: 2025-02-15

Time: 9-5

Location:
UVM campus

Description: Agroforestry is a broad term for diverse practices that incorporate trees, crops, and grazing animals for mutual benefit. Introducing trees to farm land can diversify income and improve resilience to extreme weather. We’ll discuss the ecological and economic benefits, and review the resources available to help design systems for a farm’s unique context. We’ll also review sources of funding available to support farms seeking to plant agroforestry. This workshop earns one RAP Agricultural Water Quality education credit.
