Frozen Poultry Inspection - School Lunch Program

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets' Consumer Protection Section contracts with the United States Department of Agriculture to inspect frozen poultry imported into Vermont for distribution in the School Lunch Program. Poultry core temperature readings are obtained.  Additionally, the delivery truck temperature and condition of product are monitored to ensure that the poultry has remained frozen during transport and meets all USDA standards.
