Help Wanted:

 

The VT Agriculture & Environmental Laboratory (VAEL) is seeking an Environmental Analyst to support our organics team in the development and implementation of methods to detect and measure pesticides in honey.

This position is part-time (25-35 hrs per week) with flexible start/end dates running between January - May 2022. 

VAEL is located on the Vermont Technical College Campus in Randolph Ctr, VT and is open M-F, 7:45-4:30.

Pay is dependent on experience, starting at $13/hr

Title: Environmental Analyst

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - One year of college-level courses including engineering, chemistry, biological-life or physical science, math and/or natural resources.

OR

Experience - At least six months of work experience relevant to specific job duties.

Preference given to candidates with:

  • Good manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • At least one year of course work in chemistry
  • Computer literacy including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of algebra
  • Manual and automated organic prep
