The Farm to School Vision Grant is a new grant opportunity offered by the Agency of Agriculture. With this opportunity, we are looking to support innovative ideas that address important farm to school related issues. This is a one-year grant with a maximum award of $20,000. Successful applicants will be required to provide a cash match equal to twenty percent of the total grant award.
The purpose of this grant is to support innovative and impactful ideas that have the potential to meaningfully address emergent issues in farm to school. Proposals will be judged based on a variety of criteria, including:
- Creativity and innovation
- Ability to scale or replicate
- Potential positive impact
Vermont schools and licensed or registered early childhood education organizations are eligible to apply. Non-profits that conduct food, agriculture and/or education programming in Vermont are also eligible to apply but only as co-applicants with a school or childcare organization.
How to Apply
Applications will need to be submitted through our online grants management system, WebGrants. If you are interested in this, or other Agency opportunities, and do not have a WebGrants account, you can register for one here. We will begin accepting applications for this grant in early March of 2021. More information will be available here in coming weeks.
