Buy Local Markets

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets hosts Buy Local Markets to help provide consumers with an ideal occasion to taste, learn about, and buy Vermont agricultural products from across Vermont. 

These markets will feature over 40 Vermont farmers and producers of local cheese, meat, fruits and vegetables, milk, maple syrup, jams, culinary oils, honey, wine, beer, spirits, wool, and handmade crafts as well as ready-to-eat prepared foods. 

Waterbury Buy Local Market

Waterbury Farmers' Market and across the street at the Waterbury State Complex Horseshoe Lawn

Join us for a special evening in the town of Waterbury on August 3rd from 3pm - 7pm. We are inviting farm and food vendors from all across Vermont to join the Waterbury Farmers’ Market at the Rusty Parker Park for a celebration of all things local. Come mix and mingle with local producers, enter raffles for great local prizes, and learn all about the many wonderful programs offered by VAAFM and our partners across the street on the Horseshoe Lawn in front of the Waterbury State Complex.

 

Summer Buy Local Market

Coinciding with the United States Department of Agriculture’s 18th annual National Farmers Market Week, the Summer Buy Local Market on the State House Lawn returns for its third year, bigger and better than ever to Montpelier on August 9, 2017 from 3pm to 6:30pm. Montpelier residents, visitors and employees are invited for this exceptional opportunity to support Vermont suppliers of local food and agricultural products.

With the success of the Summer Buy Local Markets, we are pleased to introduce a second opportunity to experience the diversity, quality and freshness of the Capitol City weekend farmers’ market on a weekday. Join us again to celebrate local foods and agricultural goods on the Statehouse Lawn, this time during peak fall foliage season!
