Tick Identification

What kind of tick is It?

Tick identification may be difficult. Mouthparts and body structures need to be examined under a microscope for conclusive identification. Black-legged ticks (“deer ticks”) and dog ticks are the ticks found most commonly in Vermont. Woodchuck and winter ticks may also be common in some areas.
