On December 4th, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture will host a workshop for farmers interested in using these techniques to better manage the human resources on their farms.

Working Lands Enterprise Board Announces the Release of Available Poultry Processing Grant Funds

The Working Lands Enterprise Board announces the availability of $40,000 in grant funds for investment into VT poultry processing projects. Applications received must be for the construction of a mobile or fixed, commercially inspected (state or federal) poultry slaughter and/or processing facility. With strong justification, a mobile facility operating under the 20,000 bird exemption would be considered.

Montpelier - The Vermont Agency of Agriculture (VAAFM) today announced grants from the federal Department of Agriculture totaling $188,000 to nine projects that will benefit Vermont fruit, vegetable, and maple producers, and increase consumer access to locally produced food.
