Categories of licensure include: commercial slaughterers, custom slaughterers, commercial processors, custom processors, wholesale distributors, meat & poultry product brokers, renderers, public warehouse operators, animal food manufacturers, handlers of dead, dying, disabled, or diseased animals, & any other category established by rule. Agency has to be on site for inspection during all slaughter activities.
