Deputy Secretary Eastman attends White House Conference on Rural Prosperity

On January 30th, Deputy Secretary Eastman attended the Conference on Rural Prosperity with Local & State Leaders at the White House.  Vice President Pence and Secretary Sonny Perdue kicked off the conference which focused on Trade & Infrastructure, Achieving E-Connectivity, Harnessing Technological Innovation & Developing the Rural Economy.  There was also time for Q&A with Leadership from FDA, USDA and Department of Interior. 

 

 

“It’s exciting to see agriculture on the forefront of the rural prosperity conversations as it is important to ensure good quality of life, strong rural workforce and economic development," Eastman said.
