Maple Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

1 ½ c Flour

½ c butter – room temp

1 tbsp baking powder

½ c sugar

1 c Vermont maple syrup

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

3 lg eggs- room temp

½ c whole milk – room temp

  1. Preheat oven 350
  2. Grease and flour 2 9 in pans.
  3. Lg mixing bowl – flour & baking powder
  4. In measuring cup – milk & vanilla
  5. Another lg mixing bowl – cream butter & sugar

Gradually mix in eggs then beat in Vermont maple syrup

Mix in ½ flour

Mix in milk mixture

Add remaining flour to mixture until completely mixed

  1. Pour batter into pans
  2. Bake 25-30 mins. Until tooth pick comes out clean
  3. Cool on racks

Frosting

16 oz cream cheese – softened

1 c soft butter

6 c confectioners’ sugar

1/3 c Vermont Maple Syrup

  1. Beat cream cheese & butter
  2. Add confectioners sugar & Vermont Maple Syrup – until smooth
