Coinciding with the United States Department of Agriculture’s 18th annual National Farmers Market Week, the Summer Buy Local Market returns for its third year, bigger and better than ever to Montpelier on August 9, 2017 from 3pm to 6:30pm.
Montpelier residents, visitors and employees are invited for this exceptional opportunity to support Vermont suppliers of local food and agricultural products at a mid-week market on the State House Lawn.
Get ready to shop for your weekly groceries, sample and purchase Vermont cider, mead, beer, and spirits—and you don’t want to miss special performances from the Hokum Bros and The Farm to Ballet Project, brought to you by Hunger Mountain Co-op!
More than 45 vendors and local organizations will participate in this year’s market offering a wide variety of Vermont products: fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared food for lunch, meat, cheese, milk, yogurt, pickles and jams, popsicles, ice cream, baked goods, maple syrup, yarn, and more!
Visit our website for a full list of vendors: http://bit.ly/vtbuylocalmarket.
Organized by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets as part of the State’s Local Food Wellness and Consumer Awareness Initiative in partnership with the Vermont Buildings and General Services, Hunger Mountain Co-op, Capital City Farmers' Market Montpelier Vermont, The Waterbury Farmer's Market, Barre Farmers Market, the Vermont Farmers' Market Association and NOFA-VT.
