The 2024 Tree Sale is Open!

Conservation trees are available for sale! Please pre-order from this select list of native trees and shrubs and pick up at our parking lot at 109 Professional Dr., Morrisville VT on April 27th from 10am-12pm.

Deadline for ordering is April 19th. No refunds or late pickups. Trees not picked up on time will be planted in one of our annual stream restoration plantings so at least they will be put to good use. This Tree Sale is intended to help the continued conservation programming that LCCD does so consider your purchase more than just buying a tree but an investment in the thousands of trees we plant annually to restore habitats and work towards climate resilience moving forward.

FSIS Notice 09-24 Voluntary Labeling of FSIS-Regulated Products with U.S.-Origin Claims

For use beginning 3/18/2024
This notice informs inspection program personnel (IPP) that FSIS is amending its regulations to define the conditions under which the labeling of meat, poultry, and egg products under mandatory inspection, as well as voluntarily inspected products, may bear voluntary label claims indicating that the product is of United States origin. As of January 1, 2026, if establishments choose to include these voluntary claims on their labels, they will need to meet the new labeling requirements. IPP should also be aware that FSIS has updated its guidance on the use of voluntary U.S.-origin labels eligible for generic approval. Links to the rule and the guidance are included below.
6VSAChapter 204 3305(8):...The federal meat inspection regulations and federal poultry inspection regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Title 9, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 3, 9 C.F.R. §§ 300.1 et seq., together with any amendments, supplements, or revisions to the regulations, are adopted as part of this chapter.
