Milk Quality Enforcement Program
The Dairy Section has three inspectors who provide inspection services and technical assistance to processing plants and four inspectors who inspect and provide technical assistance to farms to ensure the farms are meeting minimum sanitation standards in their production practices.
Milk Quality Enhancement Program
The Dairy Section has one specialist dedicated to helping farmers solve milk quality problems. This specialist works with the farmer to identify the source of the problem and to develop strategies for remedying it. This service is offered by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture Dairy Section at no charge to the farmer.
