New water quality rules in Vermont outline how many small farms will be regularly inspected over the next seven years as the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (VAAFM) rolls out the Small Farm Certification Program.
In an effort to help farmers better understand what this inspection process could look like on their farm, VAAFM has teamed up with the UVM Paul R. Miller Research and Educational Center to film exactly what a water quality inspection would look like on your farm.
The video aims to shed light on the inspection process itself, outline what the Agency is looking for when they assess a farm, and discuss opportunities the Agency has to provide financial and technical support to farmers to comply with new water quality rules.
